Can I get a tattoo if… I am taking Accutane?
Can you get a tattoo while on Accutane?
Short answer - No, it is not recommended to get a tattoo while taking Accutane (isotretinoin). The medication causes skin thinning, delayed healing, and increased risk of scarring or infection. Experts advise waiting at least 6 months, and ideally up to 12 months, after completing treatment before getting a tattoo. Always consult your dermatologist before proceeding.
